Long Time - No real Foods News October 28, 2008 |
| Hello Yes, it's been way too long since you got a Real Foods Newsletter. There have been lots of things happening to keep me away from my newsletter writing (sorry 'bout that). Onward and upward..... I'm happy to report we are adding more locally-produced products all the time. In addition to the local vegetables, eggs, and CKC Farms goat cheese, we have added more cheeses, and in the freezer section - locally farmed quail, lamb, and buffalo meat. We also have access to freshly-baked breads, by pre-order. And you can carry it home in one of our "feed sack totes" made here in Blanco of recycled feed sacks.
And please don't forget you can get a 10% discount when you order products by the case. This includes bulk staple items like beans, grains, and flours, as well as packaged goods.
With prices going up everywhere you look, I have had several customers come to me apologetically to say they can no longer afford to buy organic groceries, because they're spending so much on gas. So, I found a product, biodegradeable and non-hazardous, that not only improves your mileage, it also lowers your emissions (sometimes down to ZERO), and it's actually good for your engine. Even with gas prices down (at least for the moment), this product still saves you significant money. And knowing you're not contributing quite as much to global warming is a nice thing, too. We are offering a $10 coupon inside the store. There is also a notebook full of more than a decade of documented use for you to look over.
If you have lately tried to shop at Real Foods on a Monday, you will have noticed that our hours have changed. We are now closed on Mondays so that we can offer massage, Energy Bodywork, and nutritional consultations - all by appointment. The store is still open Tuesday through Friday, 10 - 6, and Saturday 10 - 3 as your Blanco County Organic Headquarters.
