At Real Foods Market and Cafe (established 1996), we are much more than just the place to buy the best vitamin supplements.

Real Foods is the "Center of Blanco" for many reasons:

We are located in what was once the historic hardware store, right in the middle of Blanco, Texas (population 1,505).

Situated on the north side of the Square between the bank and the Post Office, Real Foods is also the home of the Historic Rainfall Records. Monthly rainfall totals (beginning in the year 1900) are displayed, taking the upper third of the entire west wall of the store.

Now, the vintage 1938 cabinetry houses essential oils instead of 22 caliber rifles, shampoo and soap rather than lantern mantles and pocket knives, and natural remedies take the place of chainsaw accessories.

Today, our health food store is the county headquarters for organic groceries and local organic produce (Meet our farmers).

We make organic choices a lot more affordable by offering many food items and herbs (both medicinal and culinary) in bulk.

We carry convenience foods, and we can also help you with ways to use ingredients that may be unfamiliar to you.

Creating your own nutritious and delicious meals and healthy snack recipes will serve you well, and make your life just that much more enjoyable.

And isn't that what it's all about?

If you want to take a break from food preparation, then let us do it for you.

Try one of our healthy smoothie recipes or freshly-squeezed juices at the Real Foods Cafe, or dig into one of the specially created sandwiches or salads (our food has been featured in both Gourmet and Texas Highways magazines).

The freshly brewed, organic, Fair Trade coffees are custom roasted for us in Houston (You can also buy the beans to have that same great flavor at home).

Enjoy your selection inside or out on the shady porch. Your leashed pet is welcome in the outdoor eating area.

In the health and beauty section, choose from several lines of natural and organic skin care, including anti-aging skin care products, pure mineral makeup, and baby skin care.

Real Foods Market has hand-crafted, locally made, lavender aromatherapy bath products. After all, Blanco is the Lavender Capital of Texas!

We DO offer a great assortment of quality vitamin and mineral supplements (Naturally - pun intended - I believe we sell the best vitamin supplements, cause I'm the one who chooses the products!).

Get a vitamin for skin, herbs for weight loss, or vitamins for energy.

There are multi-vitamins, singles, and formulas to choose from.

Other natural health supplements include homeopathic remedies, herbs and herbal formulas, Bach Flower Essences, amino acids, and enzymes.

And you'll soon (by customer request) be able to purchase our nutrition supplements online, too (order on the internet, then pick them up if you'd like to save on shipping).

In addition to the "normal" health food store stuff, Real Foods Market is pleased to offer non-toxic cleaning products, personal care and recycled paper products, books, music CDs (local musicians to World Music), and greeting cards by local artists.
